I made two of these dresses for this drop because I loved it so much and had enough materials to offer it in two sizes. This dress is upcycled from a vintage dresden plate quilt top and a vintage cutwork tablecloth with the most beautiful detailing. I’m a sucker for a cutwork tablecloth! The bodice (quilt top) is lined and there are no raw edges on the inside of the dress. It’s light, comfy and has an incredible scalloped hemline. The pockets on this dress are made from an embroidered tablecloth and have the prettiest purple flowers on them!
I try to give my best guess on the sizing but encourage you to always use your measurements. It can be tricky to measure your own body and add in enough extra space for ease and such so my best advice is to measure something you already have and love the fit of.
That being said, this dress would most likely best fit someone who typically wears XL-XXL
Measurements laying flat
Pit to PIt, 25″ (note that because this is pinafore style, the sides of the chest are open and may allow for more bust.
Length from the top of the bib to the bottom hem, 46″
The materials I use are vintage and will show some wear and minor imperfections. This is a beautiful patina that comes from years of love and mending. Any major imperfections are carefully repaired through visible mending. My goal is first to make you a garment that is sturdy af and will last a lifetime and second, a one of a kind piece of wearable art. I recommend washing your new garment on a gentle cycle and laying flat to dry. Thank you for being part of Mother Nature’s Army by supporting slow fashion.
