This pinafore style dress is upcycled from the prettiest vintage embroidered tablecloth and a vintage sheet that was still in its original packaging! The tablecloth had some staining and was ready to be reworked. There was still a good amount of usable fabric there and it’s a nice weight and very durable so, I cut around the staining and used what I could. The embroidery is beautifully done and takes center stage on the front of the bib, the back of the bib and the two frilly front pockets.
I try to give my best guess on the sizing but encourage you to always use your measurements. It can be tricky to measure your own body and add in enough extra space for ease and such so my best advice is to measure something you already have and love the fit of.
That being said, this dress would most likely best fit someone who generally wears XS-M
Measurements laying flat
Pit to PIt, 17″ (note that because this is pinafore style, the sides of the chest are open and may allow for more bust)
Length from the top of the bib to the bottom hem, 35″
Bib measurement is, 10″ across the top & 11″ long
The materials I use are vintage and will show some wear and minor imperfections. This is a beautiful patina that comes from years of love and mending. Any major imperfections are carefully repaired through visible mending. My goal is first to make you a garment that is sturdy af and will last a lifetime and second, a one of a kind piece of wearable art. I recommend washing your new garment on a gentle cycle and laying flat to dry. Thank you for being part of Mother Nature’s Army by supporting slow fashion.
