This is the only quilt jacket in this drop.  I found this vintage child’s quilt at Brimfield Antique Market a few weeks ago and absolutely fell in love and couldn’t wait to rework it.  It had one small damaged area that I patched, it’s right in the front and I’m guessing you can’t even see it!  That’s the magic of mending things we love and want to keep forever.  This cutie has the happiest chickens on it and the sweetest turtle on the back.  I was just short of being able to get a hood out of the scraps I had leftover so I fashioned this hood out of a velvety vintage Martex towel and added some 1970’s trim for extra sass.  It’s got a vintage metal zipper, a hood without a drawstring and an inside pocket.

Please note the the measurements, this jacket is slightly cropped and the sleeves are short and wide.  These are meant to be 3/4 length sleeves but if you are like me and have short arms, they may well rest at your wrist.

I try to give my best guess on the sizing but encourage you to always use your measurements.  It can be tricky to measure your own body and add in enough extra space for ease and such so my best advice is to measure something you already have and love the fit of.  That being said, based on the measurements, this hoodie would likely be best for someone who generally wears a S/M depending on how you like the fit.

The materials I use are vintage and will show some wear and minor imperfections.  This is a beautiful patina that comes from years of love and mending.   Any major imperfections are carefully repaired through visible mending.   My goal is first to make you a garment that is sturdy af and will last a lifetime and second, a one of a kind piece of wearable art.   I recommend washing your new garment on a gentle cycle and laying flat to dry.  Thank you for being part of Mother Nature’s Army by supporting slow fashion.
