The vintage duck shorts have been a big hit, I love how much appreciation everyone has for the duckie friends. I paired these ducks up with a burnt orange vintage towel I had in my stash and I think the colors are perfect together. The burnt orange towel photographs a little more red than orange but in person, I think it’s closer to a 70’s deep orange color. These cuties have an elastic waist and side seam pockets made from some vintage floral fabric scraps I had left from another project! No waste!
I encourage you to always use your measurements. It can be tricky to measure your own body and add in enough extra space for ease and such so my best advice is to measure something you already have and love the fit of.
The materials I use are vintage and will show some wear and minor imperfections. This is a beautiful patina that comes from years of love and mending. Any major imperfections are carefully repaired through visible mending. My goal is first to make you a garment that is sturdy af and will last a lifetime and second, a one of a kind piece of wearable art.
