I have big love for the vintage Royal Terry beach towels. Something about the way they gradually wear in to just the right softness and the colors start to fade in all the right ways. I did a poll on Instagram a couple of weeks ago to see if people would be interested in some of the more worn/broken in towels or if most people prefer the plush more unused ones and I was shocked (in a good way) when the worn towels got so many votes. This towel falls into that category. It was clearly someone’s favorite towel, it’s used and has some sun fading, some pulls here and there but it’s got no holes and the overall condition of it is very sound….and this will last someone a long time to come. What’s better than a hoodie that’s the perfect weight, already broken in, 2 front pockets and some patchwork sleeves. I used every single inch of this towel and then finished the hood with a velvety navy blue Martex towel scrap I had leftover from another make. I love this one, I can’t wait to see where it ends up!
I try to give my best guess on the sizing but encourage you to always use your measurements. It can be tricky to measure your own body and add in enough extra space for ease and such so my best advice is to measure something you already have and love the fit of. That being said, based on the measurements, this hoodie would likely be best for someone who generally wears a S/M depending on how you like the fit.

The materials I use are vintage and will show some wear and minor imperfections. This is a beautiful patina that comes from years of love and mending. Any major imperfections are carefully repaired through visible mending. My goal is first to make you a garment that is sturdy af and will last a lifetime and second, a one of a kind piece of wearable art. I recommend washing your new garment on a gentle cycle and laying flat to dry. Thank you for being part of Mother Nature’s Army by supporting slow fashion.
