About

Hi!  I’m Patty Moonbeam and I’m the owner/creator and sole employee over here at FourBirdsNest. Originally from Rhode Island, I currently live and create in a 123 year old Victorian house in the Rainbow Village section of a town situated along the Connecticut River.

I’m really glad you found me and I’m excited to tell you a little bit about myself and my small but mighty business.  I’m self taught and have been sewing for the past ten years or so.  I started FBN in 2019 and it’s been kind of a wild ride.  My child self would really love this life and that’s how I know this is the right path for me.

Repurposing old textiles has been my passion since the very beginning.  There is an abundance of amazing vintage textiles waiting to be found and transformed.  I gather a wide variety of materials from velvet tapestries to vintage bed sheets and I rework them into one of a kind pieces of wearable art.  It’s my goal to create garments that bring joy to your world and inspire and uplift. I have also found that I really enjoy making tutorials and I’ve started to do that and share them via my Instagram page. I have a highlight “SewingTips” where you can find info on how to repair your most loved clothes and other useful tidbits.

When I’m not sewing, you can find me with my dogs, in my gardens, hula hooping, fire dancing, growing food, and traveling to new places. Thanks for joining me in my tiny corner of the internet, it means a lot to me that you’re here!!
