FAQs

How do I purchase/order something?

My website is the only way to place an order for a readymade item.

Do you offer custom orders?

I do offer custom orders on a limited basis.  I will occasionally list textiles that I have available for purchase before they have been made.  This allows you to choose the size you like, pocket style, closures, hood/collar and length.

Can we send you something to be reworked as a custom?

This is on a case by case basis bc i’m extremely allergic to cats and have gotten sick from materials that have been sent from cat friendly homes.  If you have something very sentimental and you would like to discuss having a custom made, please feel free to email me and we can chat about it.

When is the next website restock?

I generally will do one drop per month of readymade items.  I share preview photos throughout the month leading up to the drop and I share countdown reminders on my Instagram feed and story. You can also add yourself to my email list if you like a little reminder.  Don’t worry, I will only be sending a monthly reminder, no spam.

Do you offer international shipping?

Yes!  Please note that your order may be subject to customs fees or taxes which are levied once a shipment reaches your country.  You can contact your customs office for a breakdown of costs. Any additional customs fees are your responsibility.

Where do you get your materials?

I think this is my most asked question!  The answer is, everywhere!  Thrifting, estate sales, flea markets, ebay and lots of vintage resellers.  If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll see that I frequently tag the vintage resellers that I source from. They’re all small businesses and they're all amazing humans, you should give them a look.

Do you offer returns?

At this time, I don’t accept returns or refunds.  I’m a one person show over here and each item is carefully made, inspected and measurements are always included in each listing. If you feel your order is defective or damaged when you receive it, please contact me with details.

What’s the best way to take care of my new FBN piece?

I recommend washing your new piece in cold water on the delicate cycle and hang or lay flat to dry (most of the time).  I occasionally use waxed canvas, wool, silk or antique quilts which require different washing instructions but it will be noted in the listing and will arrive with full instructions.

Do you have a size chart?

I am working on creating an overall size chart but for now, you can find detailed measurements of each piece within the listing.

Where is my order?

All orders are shipped within 48 hours of purchase and all are sent via Priority mail with tracking. Once your order is placed, you will receive an email from me with your tracking number.

What measurements do you recommend we take of ourselves to find the best fit?

I actually tell people I find it’s easier if you take a measurement of something you have and love the fit of.  For example, if you have a coat you love, zip it, lay it flat and measure it from armpit to armpit, the length from the neckline to the hemline and the sleeve from the shoulder seam to the wrist (as long as it’s not a drop sleeve coat).  Measuring your body can be helpful for knowing your size but it doesn’t take into consideration how much ease you prefer in a garment.

Where can I find your stuff IRL?

I haven’t done much in person vending in the last couple of years, my sales have mainly been online but I would like to change that in the future.  If I do schedule any festivals or events, the info will be shared via my Instagram page.

Do you offer repairs?

If you bought something from me and you find that it needs to be repaired, please reach out with some photos and I can absolutely take a look and see if it’s something I can do for you. The goal is to wear, repair and keep your new piece in rotation for many years to come!
